A computer is just like any piece of equipment. It needs to be serviced and maintained.

From a software point of view, it needs to be scanned for viruses, spyware, software corruption and updates. From a hardware point of view, fans (to keep the CPU, Video Card etc.. cool) should be kept clean and free from dust.

It is quite normal for most computer systems to have a build up of dust and fluff in them because many fans 'suck' the air into the system and out again.
